 Committee Descriptions

  • Preserves the history of the Society by collecting and curating photos from Annual Meetings.

  • Leads industry fundraising and sponsor engagement, securing critical financial support for the Annual Meeting.

  • Ensures the Society’s governance remains current and aligned with its mission by reviewing and recommending updates to the Bylaws.

  • Provides financial oversight, reviews budgets and investments, and ensures the Society’s long-term financial health.

  • Plans the social and logistical aspects of the Annual Meeting, including venues, meals, and entertainment.

  • Advises the Board of Trustees on legal and ethical issues as needed.

  • Screens and recommends new member applications and ensures applicants align with the Society’s standards and values.

  • Welcomes and integrates new members into the Society, fostering a sense of connection and engagement.

  • Develops slates of candidates for Board and committee leadership and promotes Society involvement in external leadership opportunities.

  • Curates the scientific content of the Annual Meeting, selects speakers, and oversees CME compliance.

  • Identifies and evaluates future meeting locations, presenting final options to the Board of Trustees.

  • Including the Blanched Soldiers of Noah, Book Club, Photography, and Sports Committees, these groups organize educational and social sessions that enhance the unique character of the Annual Meeting.
